this album is JAMMED, just so FULL of rich, evoking songs. Nethe5r Lands, Once Upon A Time, Dancing Shoes, Lessons Learned, Love Gone By, Promises Made, Scarecrow's Dream, Sketches, False Faces -- that's a collection, good enough to be anybody else's Greatest Hits!!! But I totally agree with you: whenever I run into someone who says, "Dan Who?" I recommend either (for rocker-types) Souvenirs, or (everyone else) Nether Lands. I miss his talent. I really do.

This is one of my favorite Songs of Dan's, brings me back to my happy, College days at SUNY-Albany. Dan was the first "love" of my life.

I'll never understand why this album never made it as big as some of Dan's others. He never made a bad album in his entire career. Why is Captured Angel so overlooked? This song, The Last Nail, Crow, Man in the Mirror/Below the Surface...there's plenty to love!

Thinking and missing Dan on this day. Looked at my framed copy of his birthday announcement this a.m. and could only smile and give thanks for the legacy of music he left us.
