A time for us, some day there'll be
When chains are torn by courage born of a love that's free
A time when dreams so long denied can flourish
As we unveil the love we now must hide

A time for us, at last to see
A life worthwhile for you and me

And with our love, through tears and thorns
We will endure as we pass surely through every storm
A time for us, some day there'll be a new world
A world of shining hope for you and me

For you and me

And with our love, through tears and thorns
We will endure as we pass surely through every storm
A time for us, some day there'll be a new world
A world of shining hope for you and me

A world of shining hope for you and me

Johnny Mathis - Starbright (03:17)
What a sweet love song. STARBRIGHT (Lee Pockriss / Paul Vance) Johnny Mathis Starbright I have made
a wish upon you Now my heart is counting on you Won't you grant my wish tonight Starbright won't you
glow with all your splendor Won't you make her heart surrender Won't you make her mine tonight Help
me, help me make her heart discover Just how much I really love her Help me make her mine tonight Oh
starbright since you know how much I need her Can you spare some light to lead her To my empty ...

JM is being allowed to stay around today so that we may enjoy what good music was(and is!) The reality of what music really is has been bastardized by the likes of cRAP and Hip-Hop. Add the provocative lyrics and and low-life performers to the mix and you have the most blatant scam ever foisted upon blacks.

Hi nidjkvinit. How about adding two tags, Johnny and Mathis to this video. I have been collecting his videos for my favorites on my YouTube site, but just stumbled across this one . It will be easier for Johnny Mathis fans to find. Thanks for sharing it.

Unfortunately, the younger generation is being fed a diet of nonmusical, vocally untalented, untrained noise. The antipathy of true music. Considering Mathis' projection of vocal perfection one get's a sense of failure to discipline, train and strive for the best in many of today's performers. Maybe we should clone some Mathis genes?

One of my favorite JM songs. I literally wore out my LP's during the 60's playing his wonderful songs over and over. He is still the best.
