Yup, I agree. It's all about being able to relate to what you're listening to, chances are if you don't relate you might not dig it as much.

Since when has homosexuality been a staple in the metal scene? Sure, there are a couple of bands with gay guys in them, but it rarely defines them. Sexual orientation has little to do with the music.
I mean, really, what do people remember Rob Halford for? His amazing voice? Or the fact that he likes men?
I don't get why people make the sexual orientation of artists out to be a big deal. It really isn't. There are gay folks in every type of music.

Love is love, it's an everyman's duty. So are the love songs. Nobody thinks that Elton John's lovesongs are for gays only, for example.
As an straigh woman I can fully relate to the message of this song, because I have gone trough all this.
